Lahore, May 22, 2025 – In a major boost for the province’s farmers, the Punjab government has released interest-free loans under the Chief Minister Kissan Card Phase II. Starting today, registered growers can purchase seeds, fertilizers, diesel, and agricultural medicines directly from approved dealers without any upfront costs.

Funds are credited instantly to a farmer’s mobile wallet, ensuring fast and secure access to critical inputs.

We want to empower our farming community,” said a spokesperson from the Agriculture Department. “By removing financial barriers, we help increase crop yields and strengthen rural livelihoods.

Eligible farmers may visit any registered dealer to buy high-quality seeds, recommended fertilizers, crop-protection products, and up to 25% of their loan value in diesel. All that’s required is a valid CM Kissan Card Phase II registration and a linked mobile number.

Backed by a ₨ 75 billion budget for 500,000 participants this season, Phase II expands support beyond the initial rollout. Farmers are urged to complete applications promptly, as funds are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
