Lahore: Farmers who have already applied for Punjab’s high‑tech Green Tractor Program are being advised to log on to the official portal if they want to change their chosen tractor model or colour.
The Agriculture Department issued a notice saying that any modifications should be made through the scheme’s online portal gts.punjab.gov.pk.

Applicants must use the portal to edit their form; changes will not be accepted via handwritten requests.

Why the update matters

The Green Tractor scheme is part of the province’s broader mechanized farming program. In the second phase of this program, which launched on 14 August 2025, farmers who own seven acres or more of land can apply for a Rs 1 million subsidy on tractors of 75 horsepower or above.

Applications must be submitted digitally via the official portal before 1 September 2025.

By encouraging farmers to check and update their applications now, officials hope to avoid delays once the balloting process begins. The Agriculture Department says the program aims to distribute 20,000 tractors in this phase, building on the 9,500 tractors distributed last year.

Such mechanization is expected to save labour, improve yields and help meet production targets.

How to make changes

To update your application:

  • Visit the official portal: gts.punjab.gov.pk and log in with your credentials.
  • Select the application you previously submitted and choose the new tractor model or colour you prefer. Follow the prompts to save changes.

Applicants who need help should call the Agriculture Helpline 0800‑17000 during business hours. The department also advises sharing this notice with other farmers so they can adjust their applications before the deadline.

Keep an eye on deadlines

The Agriculture Department has not extended the application period. Changes to applications must be completed before the cut‑off date. If you miss the deadline, your original selection will stand.
