KALA SHAH KAKU, May 16, 2025 – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz today reaffirmed her government’s commitment to the agricultural sector by handing over 1,000 free tractors to farmers who achieved record wheat yields. Addressing the Wheat Initiative Programme ceremony, she also announced deep solar-power subsidies and directed zero-profit machinery rentals.

  • 1,000 Free Tractors
    • Awarded to farmers with the highest wheat output.
  • Solar-Power Subsidies
    • 95 % subsidy on 10 kV systems
    • 90 % subsidy on 15 kV systems

“Our farmers feed the nation,” said Maryam Nawaz. “Modern machinery and affordable energy will drive Punjab’s agricultural growth and secure livelihoods.”
