Punjab, May 25, 2025: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz today unveiled the “Chief Minister’s Wheat-Boost Cultivation Program 2024–25,” a ₨27 billion initiative designed to reward farmers who expand their wheat acreage and achieve top yields. The scheme offers generous provincial and district incentives to encourage greater production and strengthen food security.
Under this program, the Punjab Agriculture Department will run a series of yield contests. At the provincial level, the top three performers will receive high-horsepower tractors as prizes:

CM Maryam Nawaz described the package as “historic,” noting that it combines land-expansion incentives with performance rewards. “Our farmers are the backbone of Punjab’s prosperity,” she said. “By recognizing those who push the boundaries of cultivation, we ensure stronger harvests and greater income for rural communities.”
The program launches immediately. Farmers interested in entering the yield contests can register through their local agriculture extension offices or by calling the Punjab Agricultural Helpline at 0800-75-17000, available daily from 8 AM to 8 PM.
