The agreement will focus on improving Pakistan’s agriculture sector and increasing the productivity of its crops. Russia will help by providing technical support to update fertilizer plants in Pakistan, aiming to produce more and better fertilizers to meet local needs.
This deal was discussed in a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, and Russia’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Albert P. Khuriev, as announced on Thursday.
During the meeting, they talked about strengthening cooperation in agriculture and industry and boosting trade and investment between the two countries.
Rana Tanveer emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to improving its relationship with Russia, particularly in trade and investment. He promised that Pakistan would support Russian investors to enhance trade and investment ties.
The minister highlighted the importance of modern farming equipment and other resources to increase agricultural productivity. He mentioned that working together in agriculture would help transfer technology, improving both crop and livestock production.
Ambassador Khuriev suggested that Pakistani agricultural experts visit Russia to share their knowledge with Russian scientists and experts. He also noted that Russia would provide modern farming machinery to help develop Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
