The Punjab government has introduced a new scheme to boost crop yields through mechanized farming. Under this scheme, farmers in all districts are invited to apply for agricultural machinery and equipment with subsidy of 60% up to Rs. 5 lakhs.The move is aimed at increasing agricultural production and helping farmers adopt modern agricultural practices.

Machinery subsidy: Farmers can apply for 60% subsidy for purchase of agricultural machinery, limited to Rs. 5 lakhs and it is.
Eligibility Requirements
- The applicant must have a tractor with at least 50 horsepower (automatics not included).
- Applicant must own up to 25 acres of land in wetland areas or 50 acres in tropical areas.
- Participating farmers do not have to apply for the same program from another province.
- Service Provider Responsibility: Farmers receiving machinery must offer their services to other farmers on lease for the duration of the project.
- درخواست دہندہ کے پاس کم از کم 50 ہارس پاور کا ٹریکٹر ہونا لازمی ہے (سیلف پروپیلڈ مشینری شامل نہیں)۔
- درخواست دہندہ کے پاس نہری علاقوں میں 25 ایکڑ تک یا بارانی علاقوں میں 50 ایکڑ تک زمین ہونی چاہیے۔
- کسانوں کو کسی دوسرے ضلع سے اسی اسکیم کے لیے درخواست نہیں دینی چاہیے۔
سروس پرووائیڈر کی ذمہ داری: مشینری حاصل کرنے والے کسانوں کو منصوبے کے دوران دوسرے کسانوں کو کرایے پر خدمات فراہم کرنے کی ذمہ داری ہوگی۔
Distribution and Payment
Payment must be finalized with the approved companies within 10 days of receipt of the distribution receipt. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of financial aid, which cannot be challenged.
The next eligible candidate from the waiting list will receive financial assistance in case of cancellation.
- الاٹمنٹ لیٹر ملنے کے 10 دنوں کے اندر منظوری شدہ کمپنیوں سے بلنگ کرنا لازمی ہوگا۔ بصورت دیگر مالی امداد منسوخ سمجھی جائے گی، جسے چیلنج نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔
- منسوخی کی صورت میں، مالی امداد اگلے اہل درخواست دہندہ کو دی جائے گی۔
مشینری کی منتقلی کی پابندی: پہلی 4 سالوں کے دوران مشینری کسی دوسرے شخص کو کسی بھی شکل میں فروخت یا منتقل نہیں کی جا سکتی۔
Non-Transfer of Equipment
Purchased equipment cannot be sold or transferred in any manner during the first four years.
Training and Maintenanc
The farmers will get a one-day training on machine operation and maintenance.
The decisions of the distribution committee must be adhered to.

Alternatively, they can collect it from the Assistant Agricultural Engineer Field of the concerned district. The form, along with the required documents, including an affidavit (on Rs. 300 e-stamp paper), must be submitted by October 31, 2024.
